Event — Taking care of future talent, today

Santa Fe continues to invest in partnering with leading universities to educate and inspire students undergoing International Masters programmes. Our most recent one-hour session was hosted by Professor Amaia Arizkuren Eleta, Director of the Master in International Business programme at Deusto Business School | Deusto, Universidad de Deusto, San Sebastián, España.
The virtual webinar was truly a global event, engaging 50 students of 20 different nationalities.
Using a theme of ‘Global mobility – the why, what, how?’, John Rason, Head of Consulting, and Begoña Burillo from Santa Fe, Madrid, delivered an overview of why organisations mobilise global talent, together with a summary of insights from our Taking Care of series.
The session revisited key findings from the series, highlighting:
- Cross-border remote work
- Leadership and presence
- Sustainable mobility
- Talent wellbeing
- The evolving roles of GM professionals
After the event, Professor Eleta informed us:
“My students were delighted!! I have already been speaking with Begoña about future plans for next academic year! We look forward to seeing you, hopefully in person in 2026. Let’s continue talking!!”
Michele Longley, part of Santa Fe’s UK team, also recently presented to the International HR Masters programme at the University of Strathclyde to discuss global mobility trends and international career opportunities.

Michele said:
“It was a privilege to connect with and then follow the careers of these inspiring students and future leaders!”
As a reminder, the first in our most recent education events was held in late 2024, when we shared our experiences and insights on the evolving challenges of international assignments and workforce mobility with a dynamic and engaged group of students at Regent’s University London. The session was led by John Rason.
The event, organised by Dr. Vicky Haji-Ghassemi MSc, PhD, Senior Lecturer in Management, Human Resources and Organisations, and Course Leader for several postgraduate programmes at Regent’s University London, brought fresh insights to the next generation of business leaders.
The interactive format encouraged students to think strategically, applying concepts to real-world business challenges. Feedback highlighted the session as both inspiring and practical, equipping future leaders with the tools to address the complexities of international talent management.
We created a short film capturing the energy and insights from the day.
