We are pleased to announce the launch of our 2024 Annual Sustainability Report, which highlights our commitment to driving meaningful change across our global operations. The report reflects our progress in embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into every aspect of our business, outlining our strategies, achievements, and ongoing efforts to create a more sustainable future.
Key highlights
- ESG strategy and progress: Building on our decade-long commitment to the UN Global Compact and environmental standards like ISO14001, this year’s report showcases our comprehensive ESG strategy, including our continued focus on carbon reduction, social sustainability, and governance improvements.
- Carbon reduction and emissions: Despite a 14.5% rise in overall emissions due to expanded reporting, our carbon intensity per employee has decreased. We are implementing new initiatives, such as reducing air shipments and transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2027.
- Strategic partnerships: We have partnered with Watershed for carbon accounting and Prosperah for stakeholder engagement, aligning our efforts with global best practices. Our first submission to EcoVadis earned a Silver Award, placing us in the 87th percentile for our sector.
- Commitments and actions: The report details our 24-month plan for sustainable action across all 38 countries where we operate, including specific goals like eliminating single-use plastics, enhancing supply chain sustainability, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Global engagement: Our empowered ESG committee is actively working with teams worldwide to implement localised initiatives that contribute to our overall sustainability goals. From supporting biodiversity projects in the Philippines to eliminating plastic use in the Americas, our actions are making a tangible impact.
- Focus on UN SDGs: Our strategy aligns with five key UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on good health and well-being, gender equality, sustainable cities, responsible consumption, and reduced inequalities.
