Hong Kong expands employment and travel visa programs for Vietnamese nationals
Vietnamese nationals now have broader access to employment and travel opportunities in Hong Kong due to newly relaxed visa regulations. Eligibility has been extended under several employment programs, including the General Employment Policy, Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, and Top Talent Pass Scheme and criteria for multiple-entry visas have been softened.

Background
Hong Kong has eased stringent visa policies for Vietnamese nationals—a change anticipated to boost economic ties and opportunities. Previously, Vietnamese nationals were restricted to single-entry visitor visas and excluded from General Employment Visas.
The new policy allows for multiple-entry visas, permitting stays of up to 14 days per visit, replacing the former single-entry business and tourism visas capped at two weeks and seven days respectively.
Impact
Employers can now leverage the skilled Vietnamese workforce more efficiently, and Vietnamese business travellers can secure multiple-entry visas, enhancing mobility and business potential.
Eligibility for the new visas requires a history of international travel or prior educational, work, or training experiences in Hong Kong.
