Immigration update: Indonesia | Closure of the Directorate General of Immigration and limitations at South Jakarta Immigration Office
With the sharp increase of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta, the Immigration authorities have imposed additional working restrictions to prevent further spread of infection.
Who will be affected?
– Stay Permit applications
– E-Visa applications
– Ad-hoc applications at the immigration office such as address mutation, passport mutations, exit permit and birth report.
Description
The headquarters of Directorate General of Immigration is on full lockdown starting 23 June 2021 until at least 25 June 2021 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The South Jakarta Immigration Office has also imposed 25% of office capacity in line with the Jakarta movement restriction order in the red zone areas.
Impact
Limited quota on online application quota for e-Visa applications can be submitted, potentially delaying the application process. Biometrics schedule for new and renewal stay permit applications can also be received approximately between 3 – 5 working days upon application submission, whereas previously these were received within 3 working days.
Due to the above changes, (we) applicants should expect delays in application process.

Due to the rapid changes in regulations to prevent further spread of COVID-19, we urge all employers of foreign workers to ensure that submission of applications for stay permits, e-Visas, address mutations, passport mutations, and all applications at the immigration offices to be immediately submitted as there may be potential delays in the processing time.
