Immigration Update: Indonesia | Ministry of manpower system migration
31 October 2018
Ministry of Manpower System Migration
The Ministry of Manpower’s online system, TKA Online, is currently offline as it is being migrated to a new system. Estimated completion for the migration is Thursday, 1 November 2018.
Who will be affected?
– Companies currently processing or planning to process expatriate placement plan (RPTKA) applications
– Individuals currently processing or planning to process work permit (IMTA) applications
Background
The Indonesian regulations governing the foreign national employees requires that all submissions for RPTKA and IMTA be made online. The system to facilitate this is currently being changed, such that new applications are not able to be processed from Tuesday, 30 October 2018 until the expected implementation of the new system on Thursday, 1 November 2018. Existing applications will be migrated to the new system and processing is expected to resume from Thursday, 1 November 2018.
Santa Fe Recommendation:
Due to the system migration, there are likely to be delays in processing RPTKA and IMTA applications. Hence, hiring companies should anticipate a delay in the application outcome. Assignment start dates for foreign workers may need to be adjusted.
Santa Fe will send a follow up alert once it has been confirmed that TKA Online system has been successfully migrated.
