Immigration update: Singapore | Submission changes for passes applications
MOM : changes to submission requirements for work pass and related passes applications
With effect from 3 April 2020, SingPost will no longer accept manual work pass applications on behalf of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). All work pass applications may only be submitted electronically.
Who will be affected?
Foreign applicants applying for the following work passes:
- Personalized Employment Pass (PEP)
- Entry Pass
- Dependant’s Pass (DP) or Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) for family members of PEP or EntrePass holders
- Miscellaneous Work Pass
Background
Currently, applicants have the option to submit the above work pass applications either electronically or manually through SingPost.
Implementation
Even though MOM will only start fully implementing the changes from 3 April 2020, it is however recommended that applicants/employers alike, switch to the electronic mode as soon as possible to familiarize themselves with the new process.

- Application forms may be completed electronically and no longer to be filled by hand.
- There is added convenience where by submission of applications may be made anytime and anywhere.
- There is no requirement to physically queue at SingPost due to manual submissions.
