UK travel ban lifted
Spain lifts the suspension of arrivals from the UK starting from March 30th. The travel ban on UK arrivals by air and sea, in place since December 22nd, 2020, will be lifted. The restrictions for non-essential travels are still applicable (except for Spaniards and Spanish residents)
Who will be affected?
Spain has lifted the ban on arrivals from the UK for those who are not residents in Spain nor Spanish passport holders and have an essential travel purpose. All arrivals will, however, still have to provide proof of a negative PCR test upon entry to the country taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival into Spain.
Background
The decision was taken on March 23rd by the Ministry Chamber as a result of the decrease in covid-related cases in the UK
Impact
The travel ban on UK arrivals by air and sea, in place since December 22nd, 2020, will be lifted on March 30th. However, the travel restrictions for non-essential travels are still applicable (except for Spaniards and Spanish residents)
Implementation
The Ministry Chamber decided to lift the general ban on UK arrivals from March 30th on, maintaining the travel restrictions for non-essential travels

Based on the evolution of COVID-19, the situation could be modified.
