When it comes to technology, the world is rapidly developing and every year new, unique ideas are brought to the table. Over the next 35 years, a variety of different cities around the world are expected to bloom with innovative technologies. With this in mind, a number of companies are looking to open up offices and headquarters in some of the most high-tech cities in order to keep up to date with the latest industry developments. Tokyo, Japan
A lot of the brand-new, technological ideas take root in Japan, which isn’t surprising when you see the vibrant neon lights and the quickly developing robotics that is being introduced to the world. Every year, smartphones become smarter, equipped with a range of new facilities that usually originate from the brains of Tokyo. A particularly impressive gadget seen in the city is a ring, which once connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth connection, will allow you to make an electronic transaction by simply waving your hand.
Seoul, South Korea
Seoul has been branded as the city of the future, and after seeing the impressive architecture and design of the city, it’s obvious why. Ideas are being developed within Seoul as we speak, with tech still being in its alpha stage. For example, virtual stores are currently in the making where you can scan a photo of a product and request it to be delivered to you later. Despite being impoverished by the Korean War years ago, Seoul has turned itself around by becoming one of the highest tech cities in the world.
San Francisco, California
The endless amounts of people who work within the IT industry have grown to love San Francisco and consider it as their home. The famous Silicon Valley is located towards the south of this city, and here you will find giant tech companies such as Apple, Google, and also NASA. The area is a leading hub for high-tech innovation, and a start-up ecosystem for scientific development. With the microcomputer, microprocessor and much more all hailing from this particular area, it is easy to see that San Francisco is one of the most high-tech cities in the world. In fact, in 2013 it was reported that the area hired more than a quarter of a million IT workers!
Singapore
This state is packed full of interesting skyscrapers that illuminate the sky with bright colours, and a perfect example of this is the magnificent SkyPark hotel. This city never rests with its technological advancement, with impressive innovations being introduced on a very regular basis. A recent project that was in the making was an entire forest, complete with tranquil waterfalls and gorgeous trees. However, this stunning vista is engulfed by four huge apartments as well, showcasing how technically knowledgeable Singapore is.
