Significant delays in securing appointments for visa applications
There are currently significant delays in securing appointments for visa applications, both for Mercosur and Non-Mercosur Nationals. Express Service Fee Applications have been suspended for now and standard applications are taking over two months for Non Mercosur Nationals and over nine months for Mercosur Nationals.
Immigration authorities have informed that the National Immigration Office is developing an online system that will allow applicants to upload documentation online as well as biometric data making the application process easier.
