What damage does Santa Fe cover against?

Generally speaking, we provide cover for all listed items damaged during transportation. Our protection policies cover a broad spectrum of different types of damage, which we’ve included below. If you have any further questions about other types of damage coverage, please don’t hesitate to call our friendly team today.

  • Electrical or mechanical derangement
    Protecting electrical equipment is essential, especially if you need it for work. With our Shipment Protection plan, your electrical items are covered if they arrive at your destination and no longer work. Even if the damage isn’t immediately visible, we’ll still cover it. Please note that this cover does not extend to motor vehicles, boats and trailers, or items that are more than six years old.
  • Pairs and sets
    If one of two items dependent on each other is broke, we’ll cover if there is a reasonable reduction in the value of the pair.
  • Mould and mildew
    The threat of mould and mildew is ever-present in shipping, but we cover damages up to €20,000 to put your mind at ease.
  • Wine and liquors
    If you’re moving with highly prized wine or rare liquors, we’ll provide cover for breakages and/or losses of up to €10,000.
  • Fine arts
    If you’re planning on adorning the walls of your new home with your favourite works of art, we recommend taking out cover to protect your fine arts to cover you in case anything goes wrong. Our cover for fine art extends to €100,000.

How to make a claim

  • Fill out our simple notification and claims formchevron_right
  • Register the full list of items you’re claiming for within 30 days of delivery
  • After filling in the claim form, submit the supporting documentation (repair estimates, photographs of damaged items, third party replacement estimates of all items).
  • Check the status of your claim at any time via our claims portal
  • You’ll be assigned a dedicated claims handler who’ll be your point of contact throughout the claims process
